<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The theme over at less is more this week is wings. First time i have entered a challenge in a long time, an equal amount of time since i made a card to.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YG3-yQRwLYgBWsyIZ0xmgr4fKXVODtDVVTHJ1_SwYWl-VGBKsDDuwHO2rgYM_IpW9Vdnfpjoe8RW25lEuYYM8C2iTiVVoMu3xARhU9w6qOAUlvd6XoHkeehcZuf3AajGoqAT5m6TyNo/s1600/woywd2+015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4YG3-yQRwLYgBWsyIZ0xmgr4fKXVODtDVVTHJ1_SwYWl-VGBKsDDuwHO2rgYM_IpW9Vdnfpjoe8RW25lEuYYM8C2iTiVVoMu3xARhU9w6qOAUlvd6XoHkeehcZuf3AajGoqAT5m6TyNo/s1600/woywd2+015.JPG" height="314" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
I decided to use the Julie Nutting doll stamp i have had for some time.</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I have embossed her in black and then paper pieced the clothes</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">I have never like the fact that these gorgeous girls didnt have faces, so i have given her one.. I think she looks so much better with eyes!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The little banner moves around and i have since stamped LOVE onto it. After i took the photo i decided it needed something.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Good look to all with the challenges and thanks for taking the time and trouble to host</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">A lot has been going on this week</span>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I dont know What you think, but the price of Rubber Stamps seems to be going up and up.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Around the £20 mark for a A5 sheet is getting a bit more than i want to pay. I have seen a lot that i want, but They have to be very special or in clearance for me to get my hand in my pocket these days</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This has made me pick the pencil up again!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the left of the desk is a watercolour practice of some toadstools that i have done on a cheap pad from "the works". If it ends up in the bin i have not wasted my posh Waterford paper!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My 12 Tags of 2015 is pictured as well. </div>

<h2>
WOYWD 297</h2>
<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Whats on your workdesk 297 is a world wide blog hop and you probably know by now........</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;"></span><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Courier New; font-size: large;">This week I have had large swap round, moving my desk from the left side of the room to under the window. I also decided to get rid of the computer desk and put it on my desks. <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">It has made a lot more room and the light is a lot better now. Plug socket is on the wrong place though. I am going to replace the old curtains with a blind as they are in the way now.</span></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: x-small;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">The move has taken up all my spare time. But these are what I have made since last week</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgyA-BeO9SDly0j8iyYon8zzi-uqC-E20-g38MoB2QkZDIls7firG1Elj8i74Z76PEXFwLBfZBx2OfKqVS2TvMkAVoTk41XpTiXhW9Gicmmnc3VGvEdUtOUM4Q8DhfU-MKpXQ6veqjKbs/s1600/car+008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgyA-BeO9SDly0j8iyYon8zzi-uqC-E20-g38MoB2QkZDIls7firG1Elj8i74Z76PEXFwLBfZBx2OfKqVS2TvMkAVoTk41XpTiXhW9Gicmmnc3VGvEdUtOUM4Q8DhfU-MKpXQ6veqjKbs/s1600/car+008.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Another half finished page for the DOCUMENTED LIFE PROJECT 2015....again I am stuck, I do find art journaling a challenge, I am good at backgrounds, then well, that's it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTsdZBwgTT41YBwkF7jWcgYWGLCCaExqoPoOgSjbB6Y9eaIwXv8lu8PxiIKssFWlbjPv8_fPtHT4wLJAYKQ9U5ATGSiKZMaZZ30LquYOT6jzfBQ5YeQIef83ciE1BPvCvGT9mfsZGgnfg/s1600/birdie+002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTsdZBwgTT41YBwkF7jWcgYWGLCCaExqoPoOgSjbB6Y9eaIwXv8lu8PxiIKssFWlbjPv8_fPtHT4wLJAYKQ9U5ATGSiKZMaZZ30LquYOT6jzfBQ5YeQIef83ciE1BPvCvGT9mfsZGgnfg/s1600/birdie+002.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">BIRDY tag, I made this super quick before I went to work one day. The weird birds are drawn.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;">A bad then exciting thing happened this week. The clutch went on my daughters old car leaving her stranded on the bypass. Very expensive, the garage who towed it for us, looked it over for the MOT due this month and it was going to fail that, coupled with the TAX. £700 - £800 bill was on the horizon.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">So she bought this, a brand new i10</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2xyiVgJDllLrYZ9F00skeWQJ-lSnaFikGCzyNsGRyiIlOHhDFEWwdAlhoo3hfGEGFVJt5HUBbIvF7nnDzP_GI_-nyR16sTIjHLcuM-B04hWsgAaid0qd0n51lZbRyf4-PkH30JUwhlag/s1600/car+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2xyiVgJDllLrYZ9F00skeWQJ-lSnaFikGCzyNsGRyiIlOHhDFEWwdAlhoo3hfGEGFVJt5HUBbIvF7nnDzP_GI_-nyR16sTIjHLcuM-B04hWsgAaid0qd0n51lZbRyf4-PkH30JUwhlag/s1600/car+004.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
From, probably the most handsome man either of us have ever seen!!!<br />
Enjoy your crafting week , may it be rewarding and productive,x,x,x,x,</div>

<br />
<br />
Again it is my Dylusions Journal for the Documented Life Project 2015. With it are all the different markers and pens i use. I have now discovered that Sharpie pens go through the pages.....I really should have tested them before but we <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Live and Learn</span><br />
. I leave the border around the page to do the journaling after the photo has been taken.<br />
<br />
I need to stop filling the room with "stuff" I can't find and then I would have more room to work in. I am sure half the fun of this hobby is the Postman arriving with another parcel of goodies!<br />
Since last week I have made a card as well from something that went wrong.......<br />
It was a <strong>Brusho</strong> painting............oh what messy stuff that is, and I don't mind mess, but 1 grain of this stuff covers a room!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCWKhdLyCcSX2d4M3w-pdlok4cVt_pr_1K5tCacSV1RUJcnsQD-LMIU1pEAqvOXaoAJ40Jk1tm1-3TfGSYtoSSwGb8PI531SGY787OQNdI8frAb4tCdKZVwHId4PmlK3cTs-gEWerbzxY/s1600/challenge+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCWKhdLyCcSX2d4M3w-pdlok4cVt_pr_1K5tCacSV1RUJcnsQD-LMIU1pEAqvOXaoAJ40Jk1tm1-3TfGSYtoSSwGb8PI531SGY787OQNdI8frAb4tCdKZVwHId4PmlK3cTs-gEWerbzxY/s1600/challenge+004.JPG" height="298" width="320" /></a></div>

And another journal page, i create one each week and it seems to take all my free crafting time now.<br />
Last week I had a lot of trouble loading the StampingGround page and then I could not get other deskers sites to load.<br />
I am wondering if it is because I don't use Google Chrome browser.....?????<br />
<br />
05/02/15......Just spent a lovely couple of hourse browsing peoples blogs and i have switched to Google Chrome Browser and i have had no trouble loading pages.......Good News!<br />

<br />
<em><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is a card I made for the above two challenges, when something went wrong!</span></em><br />
<br />
Now, this card started out as my first "painting" using my new Christmas present "Brusho". It did not go according to plan. And, as watercolour paper is not the cheapest thing to chuck in the bin, I had to re-purpose it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFa6jYndtEO-rrDgO6myTgJpP9tjjM43jA8lOZNH8QLPa4O6meGQbh_SoG5iuk1pmjISCcpmLDw2RSN5rxlbBUhGmuH9xGdusiqZ6spf6bVWFNWMr78VHCtNv2PTAKtTatV0UeYwoDE_w/s1600/challenge+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFa6jYndtEO-rrDgO6myTgJpP9tjjM43jA8lOZNH8QLPa4O6meGQbh_SoG5iuk1pmjISCcpmLDw2RSN5rxlbBUhGmuH9xGdusiqZ6spf6bVWFNWMr78VHCtNv2PTAKtTatV0UeYwoDE_w/s1600/challenge+004.JPG" height="298" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8IOibCSCoGYDnobd8JR0XZ99JaBZJBnHz9p3JdgEJnd-EByB01bW8URDm-1x2yinwkuhYkO2xJmzt39rNIbUDg9YXfHim2bVp6jadoNJvjIkhtD_L9HVj3boOrf02-EzuCVkuKVko7VM/s1600/challenge+005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8IOibCSCoGYDnobd8JR0XZ99JaBZJBnHz9p3JdgEJnd-EByB01bW8URDm-1x2yinwkuhYkO2xJmzt39rNIbUDg9YXfHim2bVp6jadoNJvjIkhtD_L9HVj3boOrf02-EzuCVkuKVko7VM/s1600/challenge+005.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
So I took some flower stamps from a SHEENA DOUGLASS SET. Stamped and embossed them in gold WOW embossing powder and cut them out<br />
The card base is a 6x6 with a circle aperture cut out and the sentiment embossed in black on the inside.<br />
I used double sided tape to glitter the outside edges.<br />
I am so glad I didn't waste the card!</div>

On the left is my Brusho set that I had for Christmas........looking at these on Youtube I thought they would be easy.............Wrong, for me anyway I made a tremendous mess on a piece of watercolour paper and got the stuff all over. One granual goes a long way. I may invest in the Brusho Basics book<br />

This is covered in the butterfly tissue paper, but you can no longer see it as I gesso'd over it. I then coloured it with 2 <strong>distress paints, Broken China</strong> was one. Stenciled and splattered with <strong>tarnished Brass distress paint.</strong><br />
The numbers/letters are <strong>Grungeboard</strong> covered in <strong>glossy accents</strong> and <strong>glitter</strong>. And of course the chit chat stickers<br />
What an effort this was. Cant wait until December to look back and see if I have improved!!<br />

Next year the Dylusions Creative Journal is the book of choice and I cant wait, mine is on order as I write. On the other side of my desk is my current <span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">arty journal </span>I do a page in occasionally. As I will be doing 1 a week next year I thought I would get into the swing of it again. I wanted a soft winter landscape, with happy snowmen. I actually ended up making the most DEMONIC looking snowmen I have ever seen!!! Really not what I envisioned at all.</div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;">I have decided to have a go with another tag to add to my huge collection. Take a look at the challenges above, you may discover a new one, or a new technique on display you may fancy trying.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">I have entered this in City Crafters, I have only just found this blog, but the inspiration was a gorgeous picture of nightsky. Darker in the top left corner, I went with that scheme for this tag</span><br />

I have very little in the way of Halloween stamps and the one I used here is from <strong>Indigoblu </strong>that came out<strong> </strong> a few years ago.<br />
I have used a <strong>Tim Holtz</strong> large <strong>Manilla Tag</strong> and coloured it with <strong>Mustard Seed Distress Ink</strong>, <strong>Eggplant & Denim Adirondak</strong> ink pads. I have randomly brushed across with a water brush and the two types of ink react very different with water. The adirondaks turning a nice shade of pink.<br />

<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A <strong>Visible Image</strong> stamp set provided the Bats and the Immortal wording. I also used <strong>Glossy Accents</strong> to highlight the eyes and the spider and a smattering of <strong>Stickles </strong>in the sky and water.</div>

for this fortnights challenge called TREES WITH AUTUMN COLOURS I have made a clean and simple card. Something that I don't do very often.<br />
The stamp is one from a set by ANDY SKINNER some years ago, I have painted it with Luminiart Silks paints and as always I have added some Distress Stickles. I really do think glitter makes the world a better place! Couple that with some matting and layering and its done. I like it! Of out now to go conkering with my dogs......<br />

<a href="http://craft-roomchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/" target="_blank">CRAFT ROOM CHALLENGE</a> "Forest Friends"</div>
<br />
Today has not been the best day of my life, I don't get a lot of time to craft now I have got a job, but today my car engine blew up on the M42 and its only 6year old!<br />
So to keep sane after I had paid £160 for recovery and to avoid thinking about the £2000 I need for a new engine..........I made a tag!<br />
<br />
I love autumn colours, especially when the leaves change and stay on the trees. Beech is my favourite. The blackberries that the dogs beat me to and the delight in finding a brand new conker every year. A special time.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1ycrl3mTiQSACqy6SSrsPZg503WH2b4NPjI1hZgZ-se4xNEjWBjzU8feWYUDcd3poyAfnqGNj5WYoeTV23ux2OfRXjdtRBZFzyUt8uJ1FOaqAnD4I3Dm7ibnyYYsiCsawBpeithKxUpU/s1600/DSCN4995.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1ycrl3mTiQSACqy6SSrsPZg503WH2b4NPjI1hZgZ-se4xNEjWBjzU8feWYUDcd3poyAfnqGNj5WYoeTV23ux2OfRXjdtRBZFzyUt8uJ1FOaqAnD4I3Dm7ibnyYYsiCsawBpeithKxUpU/s1600/DSCN4995.JPG" height="320" width="194" /></a></div>
I cant remember a lot of what I did here, I was in such a strop! I have used the wrinkle free distress technique using some Atelier acrylic paint, then embossed the tag when dry.<br />
The flowers & leaves are Heartfelt Creations stamps that I have had a long time and only just used. I coloured these with Distress Inks.<br />
The toadstool stamp was also having a first use, from a set that I had by "Sheen" over a year ago. Distress Stickles also feature, I can't leave these alone.<br />
The birds are from the Birds In Flight strip die covered in glossy accents. I drew the owl freehand.<br />

<h2>
ATC's</h2>
<a href="http://www.vintagejourney.com/" target="_blank">VINTAGE JOURNEY TIM INSPIRED ATC's</a><br />
<br />
The theme this fortnight is ATC,s using the techniques of Tim Holtz<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Due to the misery of no internet for almost a month I have missed a lot of challenges but was very pleased to see this one. I love ATC's and have kept them flat in true ATC style..</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;"><em><strong>A SET OF FOUR</strong></em></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzNK1whsTmxUI6ZI1ImudXbFiX05OeLv29UrLophWEOkKIxK4Qj56DroKCQvUakAgWAJyX2ufMmMJx6O49YzHmZh3xGro_zkINj2wi_lwgP_MC49dETvgcCSdmq42m8NJBVsAUmjXUzys/s1600/555+028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzNK1whsTmxUI6ZI1ImudXbFiX05OeLv29UrLophWEOkKIxK4Qj56DroKCQvUakAgWAJyX2ufMmMJx6O49YzHmZh3xGro_zkINj2wi_lwgP_MC49dETvgcCSdmq42m8NJBVsAUmjXUzys/s1600/555+028.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I started of with a piece of white card, I drew a line each of RUSTY HINGE and BROKEN CHINA distress stain onto the craft sheet. I sprayed the card with water and dragged it through the stains. Dried it and then did one swipe with DUSTY CONCORD to get the runs.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">Splashed the card with some large drops of water and blotted.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw7GZdX-boAIG-aaXQ6iKY5NH3nZ0ufT0OiY4WNNxQpku5htFbqqKbeNbFCk2a3zpuPHbgJSRhsu7KIIYQ-ubVXhr1rNxevOyTte8kdeL6I79udQrqvJOkUjTkFGpOA0pYYPv6-jNA0VA/s1600/555+029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw7GZdX-boAIG-aaXQ6iKY5NH3nZ0ufT0OiY4WNNxQpku5htFbqqKbeNbFCk2a3zpuPHbgJSRhsu7KIIYQ-ubVXhr1rNxevOyTte8kdeL6I79udQrqvJOkUjTkFGpOA0pYYPv6-jNA0VA/s1600/555+029.JPG" height="320" width="319" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then cut the card into ATC sized pieces and chose my fav four. These were stamped random with a stamp from one of Tims sets, the one with the hot air balloon in using a blue ARCHIVAL INK</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added some REMNANT RUBS in places and ran them through a dotty embossing folder. Before that I went over areas with SHATTERED LAYERING STENCIL</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib8yPTwDLZhbHyLoGm7j4OI7DWUquClCyCHbWbPSHFkqclvf5C3Rklxur4f2m87JQaHvPqxcjUUjv-_a_u1P0HR5GPRHtEB_gldMiEr1zGMm3Klf870fg3WZRXK0oQ1ioBVAaaZsYqOro/s1600/555+031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib8yPTwDLZhbHyLoGm7j4OI7DWUquClCyCHbWbPSHFkqclvf5C3Rklxur4f2m87JQaHvPqxcjUUjv-_a_u1P0HR5GPRHtEB_gldMiEr1zGMm3Klf870fg3WZRXK0oQ1ioBVAaaZsYqOro/s1600/555+031.JPG" height="320" width="269" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I have added a couple of stamped images from the travel STAMPERS ANONYMOUS sets, a bit of wording on some. DISTRESS STICKLES finished them of nicely. Each card is mounted onto Kraft card to finish.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1r23KwjsVXjMooNNWTUm-tRq4vvmp0DnH9VpbNgbP9ih4dWPhGeHiYBZClWu6UJRUXDCliIP8ZbKOOv2nLbNVRudYhVMWVbQX-JppfCNAQpc9L-pDgdZs4VYEFZLgFmODxxpoeDN9YP8/s1600/555+032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1r23KwjsVXjMooNNWTUm-tRq4vvmp0DnH9VpbNgbP9ih4dWPhGeHiYBZClWu6UJRUXDCliIP8ZbKOOv2nLbNVRudYhVMWVbQX-JppfCNAQpc9L-pDgdZs4VYEFZLgFmODxxpoeDN9YP8/s1600/555+032.JPG" height="320" width="258" /></a></div>

<span style="font-family: Arial;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">"VINTAGE" IS THE THEME THIS WEEK</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
Well, my internet and phone went of on the 2nd August and that is how it stayed until the 29th of August. so I have missed out on a lot of challenges<br />
The theme for this week is Vintage and I have chosen a vintage image.<br />
These are prison photos from the1920s and I love them. I wonder what these people did? The photography is very artistic and quite stylish to<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Here is WILLIAM STANLEY MOOR No 1399</span><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace;">He features on a size 8 Manilla Tag from Ranger. The background is coloured with alcohol inks which are then bleached out with blending solution and a stencil</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Courier New;">Particularly love this as it looks like snake skin</span><br />

One of Tim's playing cards, altered of course. The numbers are some thickers which were painted white, coloured with yellow alcohol ink, sepia accents and then coloured with promarker.<br />

It has took me until then to take a photo though, very slack<br />

This tag is made using Tim Holt techniques from his new book Compendium of Curiosities 3, its the INDUSTIRAL TECHNIQUE I especially like using this material.<br />
I have used the metal foil sheets and embossed them<br />
Then ADIRONDAK PAINTS, ALCOHOL INKS, CRACKLE ACCENTS, STICKLES, all come into the mix<br />

<h2>
BOGEY</h2>
Traditional scale stock horse gelding<br />
Bogey is very gorgeous with a very awful name. he is painted a flaxen liver chestnut with four white socks as you can see<br />
He is done mainly in pastels a mixture of sennelier and unison<br />
He white Is done with acrylic paints<br />
He has been sealed throughout the layers with gloss varnish to protect the finish then he has received a can of Dullcote on top of that<br />
He has realistic hooves and expressive eyes. Dapples on his barrel also, some photos are taken outside in the bright sun that lights him up. the others are taken indoors with no flash<br />
Painted sculpted on horseshoes<br />

A lot of stuff on here. I have had a week when I don't know what to make. I have found that the cues from Challenge blogs have been big prods. But this week nothing as worked. When this happens I make myself paint some of the horses,, I have a lot that need colour<br />
These two here are having the white markings added. This is the worst part, I hate it with a passion. The finish has to be totally flat, with no brush strokes showing for the model horse market and this is so hard to do.<br />
Finding just the right brush, just the right white paint has eluded me.<br />
Also in the picture is a craftascene page.. I could turn these out all day, I love making them. I have a 8x8 scrapbook and I store them in there. Not quite journal pages as I don't write on them. Not sure what to call them. My trusty specs are in the scene, QVC specials, I am getting to the point in life now where I need them on a chain round my neck.<br />

Close up of the horses. The big one at the back he is traditional scale artist resin made in limited numbers, generally by American artists. He is a quarterhorse and his name is Bogey!<br />
The small one is a stablemate made by breyer and he is plastic and widely available.<br />

Summer colours this week and I just happened to have this masterboard hanging that I had made for something else<br />
it didn't quite fit that project, but it did this one<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwpOjTDKhwLRTUeYBozhTEnq6SMv7kdYFNHNgkFyXsKi3BZJ11NfhpVD3JlMaBaghfPCWePNMnDQvlwow8b8nnbhlGDUp3DPVK2kZyLlCGFNgtKJmZ9v_jrxkqWFV_nOV3Dv3SH2YMBko/s1600/DSCN4507.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwpOjTDKhwLRTUeYBozhTEnq6SMv7kdYFNHNgkFyXsKi3BZJ11NfhpVD3JlMaBaghfPCWePNMnDQvlwow8b8nnbhlGDUp3DPVK2kZyLlCGFNgtKJmZ9v_jrxkqWFV_nOV3Dv3SH2YMBko/s1600/DSCN4507.JPG" height="320" width="207" /></a></div>
The masterboard was painted with Atelier Interactive acrylic paints, mainly with Yellow and my Favourite colour Quinocrodine Orange. I used it for the base and the large flowers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHDhQTf9SBpGMPBJZFOcYlK1zlDtGnWOnOg3Y-ysFjs-YDkvRuQN-wcV2dG49-5F1CbUBEBOpN868X99FkcAlFnwJVBraWKCAgYnUqLyQsejdYWNT4xd6Xlpx6_3aZWt5shazl4UaV8k4/s1600/DSCN4508.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHDhQTf9SBpGMPBJZFOcYlK1zlDtGnWOnOg3Y-ysFjs-YDkvRuQN-wcV2dG49-5F1CbUBEBOpN868X99FkcAlFnwJVBraWKCAgYnUqLyQsejdYWNT4xd6Xlpx6_3aZWt5shazl4UaV8k4/s1600/DSCN4508.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
For some reason while I was making the tag I kept on singing the Grease song "Summer Loving"....so that's the title!<br />

One Eyed Wonder Canvas<br />
Round two with my one eyed wonder girls<br />
Now, this canvas started out life as this.......<br />

<br />
its a Tim Holtz Burlap Panel I made for CC3 Challenge 6......And I hated it.<br />
So I entered it in the challenge then deconstructed it. Pulled everything off and painted it to this...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDcFFeeNKewQhEdgzaYiSiG-NJuYKgqgbCzSe7NF3gdJY5gzShM2kGFWpeBpYFgTmpOWpewYoYQL7KpQCAuQdZWLwz25ZyE_PFMmQgvrM3TDyUB5_lR04hznQBqberBZO6ncmXze4W-4I/s1600/DSCN4499.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDcFFeeNKewQhEdgzaYiSiG-NJuYKgqgbCzSe7NF3gdJY5gzShM2kGFWpeBpYFgTmpOWpewYoYQL7KpQCAuQdZWLwz25ZyE_PFMmQgvrM3TDyUB5_lR04hznQBqberBZO6ncmXze4W-4I/s1600/DSCN4499.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Using the paints that are pictured,<br />
These are the only paints I have in the PAPERARTSY range, and they are all I need. I can mix just about everything I need from the pictured colours + black. This is good as I have no money.<br />
The first <a href="http://tocoart.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/country-view-challenges-stencil-it.html" target="_blank">one eye wonder</a> (see her here) I did was painted using just these same colours.<br />
With paints if you want to spend a fortune on every colour you can do....but it isn't necessary and it is this glut of colours that often makes works lack harmony.<br />
The less you use the less chance you have of mis matched colours.<br />
This I now a very rough surface, so sat having a stare at it to decide how I am going to paint the face.<br />
It looks like being ink, India Ink because it will dry waterproof.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTZGcjwP7OyNTbuaqHrki7CXpo_z01i5mj7DwrWltzbz2PHFfBrzwej-4GXvkVboxkcXtE7LZhoqkf52qXSO4Iyu3wsXeiq32a0OJ2t0HVeiUQAPw1K8TAtjKIHErcvY81jR811oPpuSg/s1600/DSCN4506.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTZGcjwP7OyNTbuaqHrki7CXpo_z01i5mj7DwrWltzbz2PHFfBrzwej-4GXvkVboxkcXtE7LZhoqkf52qXSO4Iyu3wsXeiq32a0OJ2t0HVeiUQAPw1K8TAtjKIHErcvY81jR811oPpuSg/s1600/DSCN4506.JPG" height="304" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The face is added, building up the eye and hair<br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Over at Craft a Scene this month is a theme that is right up my street.....Fairies, I love them. A quick look through this blog at other posts will tell you I feature them a lot. Them or mermaids. Putting them into scenes for my 8x8 Scrapbook Album is another favourite of mine, when I just want to make something for the sake of it. <span style="font-family: "Courier New", Courier, monospace; font-size: small;">I do have trouble keeping fairies out of things.</span></span><br />

This is my entry for July, it actually took very little product to come up with this scene.<br />
The size is 8x8 and I have built the scene of glossy paper. This was just cheap stuff I have got from the pound shop, it is not the best, very flimsy but it is cheap and it does the job.<br />
<span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">There are some brands of paper just for this job, King James one sided glossy and Kurecote are two of them. But as I still have no job they are well out of my price range.</span><br />

I used<br />
<ol>
<li>Distress ink SQUEEZED LEMONADE</li>
<li>Distress ink CRUSHED OLIVE</li>
<li>Distress ink CHIPPED SAPHIRE</li>
<li>Versafine SEPIA</li>
<li>Versafine OLYMPIA GREEN</li>
</ol>
That's all for the colouring, and then a selection of stamps, mainly LAVINIA with some random trees and that's it. This one witll gladly go into my journal protectors. OH AND SOME GLITTER OF COURSE<br />
