Tim Holtz  12 Tags of 2015

This is my tag for February.
I have made my tag with papers i already have from the range,  Cant remember the name of it, but some has a sewing theme to the papers

These have been collaged using the same Techniques
The heart shape, and circle shape are die cut from the same papers
The charm has been painted with PICKET FENCE STAIN and then covered with GLOSSY ACCENTS
So, same techniques used but differing items
GAME SPINNERS
WORD BANDS
also used to embellish

LESS IS MORE "WINGS"

The theme over at less is more this week is wings.   First time i have entered a challenge in a long time, an equal amount of time since i made a card to.

I decided to use the Julie Nutting doll stamp i have had for some time.
I have embossed her in black and then paper pieced the clothes
I have never like the fact that these gorgeous girls didnt have faces, so i have given her one.. I think she looks so much better with eyes!
The little banner moves around and i have since stamped LOVE onto it.  After i took the photo i decided it needed something.

Good look to all with the challenges and thanks for taking the time and trouble to host

This is a weekly desk hop hosted by Julia Dunnit at Stamping-ground.  Basically a catch up around the world to see what others have been creating -  or not - this past week
HERE IS MINE

A lot has been going on this week.
I dont know What you think,  but the price of Rubber Stamps seems to be going up and up.
Around the £20 mark for a A5 sheet is getting a bit more than i want to pay.   I have seen a lot that i want, but They have to be very special or in clearance for me to get my hand in my pocket these days
This has made me pick the pencil up again!
On the left of the desk is a watercolour practice of some toadstools that i have done on a cheap pad from "the works".  If it ends up in the bin i have not wasted my posh Waterford paper!
My 12 Tags of 2015  is pictured as well.

Also my altered matchbox that i am doing for Paperartsy blog challenge Minature Art.  It may or may not get finished..... I dont know what to put in it!

Below is another painting in my cheap book of paper.  This is again hand drawn and comes from my reluctance to pay for rubber stamps.  He is a A4  drawing and will be painted in DYLUSIONS INK SPAYS

yet another background for my Documented Life Project 2015

Last of all my completed page from last weeks DLP challenge.
I have hand drawn some birds onto tissue paper to try and pull the pages together.   Not sure it worked but hey ho
Is it just me that thinks other peoples Journal Pages always look better your own???

Lastly this is a card i made, not done this in a long time.  Its a |Julie Nutting Doll stamp who has had a face added.  I am really pleased with this.  At last i like something!

Off now to have a browse at your works and life.  Have a fulfilling week with your supplies. xx

WOYWD 298

I love Whats on your workdesk,  if you click on the link above i am sure you will to.

Here it is

On the left is my little journal,  with some paint splats, i have seen these in other's work and liked them.  I have done some  er, i am stuck again.

My DLP2015 Journal.  The theme is "dont be afraid to cover the good stuff".   Oh yeah, course i am!
I have drawn a popart type man one one side, the other, who knows.

I had put the stars on the page "to cover them up" before i decided to do the face,  so he has ended up with one smack in the middle of his forhead!
Oh well, he is a star guy!
What to do with the other page....UMMM, shall i write on it?  I can never seem to come up with anything poetry like or prophetic like some.   I will slleep on that one.
My blog browsing is usually when the week is nearly over, so catch you soon and make the most of your crafty time.xxx

WOYWD 297

Whats on your workdesk 297 is a world wide blog hop and you probably know by now........

This week I have had large swap round, moving my desk from the left side of the room to under the window.  I also decided to get rid of the computer desk and put it on my desks.  It has made a lot more room and the light is a lot better now.   Plug socket is on the wrong place though.  I am going to replace the old curtains with a blind as they are in the way now.

The move has taken up all my spare time.  But these are what I have made since last week

Another half finished page for the DOCUMENTED LIFE PROJECT 2015....again I am stuck, I do find art journaling a challenge, I am good at backgrounds, then well, that's it!
BIRDY tag, I made this super quick before I went to work one day.  The weird birds are drawn.

A bad then exciting thing happened this week.   The clutch went on my daughters old car leaving her stranded on the bypass.  Very expensive, the garage who towed it for us, looked it over for the MOT due this month and it was going to fail that, coupled with the TAX.  £700 - £800 bill was on the horizon.
So she bought this, a brand new i10

From, probably the most handsome man either of us have ever seen!!!
Enjoy your crafting week , may it be rewarding and productive,x,x,x,x,

BIRDY TAG

This is a very late entry to Hels Sheridan SUNDAY STAMPERS
A weekly creative prompt blog.  Its hard to beat for eye candy.
This weeks them is Birds    and it is a stamping challenge

Designed to have very bright colours, happy colours. the tag is entered in the following

I have made a Size 8 Tag out of Bright White Cardstock.  The birds are hand drawn and embossed with clear embossing powder so the DISTRESS INK didnt over colour them
  • Pickled Raspberry
  • Mustard Seed
  • Broken China
  • Dusty Concorde
The birds were painted with the same colour inks and water...  The stamps if i remember right are Marion Emberson.

Whats on your Workdesk 296

This is whats on my work desk this week,  a mess and very little room as always
See what others look like at the above link to visit Julia Dunnit and Stamping Ground

Again it is my Dylusions Journal for the Documented Life Project 2015.   With it are all the different markers and pens i use.  I have now discovered that Sharpie pens go through the pages.....I really should have tested them before but we Live and Learn
.  I leave the border around the page to do the journaling after the photo has been taken.

I need to stop filling the room with "stuff" I can't find and then I would have more room to work in.  I am sure half the fun of this hobby is the Postman arriving with another parcel of goodies!
Since last week I have made a card as well from something that went wrong.......
It was a Brusho painting............oh what messy stuff that is, and I don't mind mess, but 1 grain of this stuff covers a room!

And another journal page, i create one each week and it seems to take all my free crafting time now.
Last week I had a lot of trouble loading the StampingGround page and then I could not get other deskers sites to load.
I am wondering if it is because I don't use Google Chrome browser.....?????

05/02/15......Just spent a lovely couple of hourse browsing peoples blogs and i have switched to Google Chrome Browser and i have had no trouble loading pages.......Good News!
