WOYWDW 277
Thanks to the internet failing and working a 12hr shift every Wednesday I haven't been able to do WOYWDW for some weeks. However, a silver lining, my car engine blew up on the M42 on Sunday morning, so as I have a driving job that means I am at home!
Taking a peek what others are doing around the world.
This is my desk today
Nothing on it that is being worked on, its the fall out from the tag I finished in the top corner. The green knife is what I use for cutting instead of the expensive scalpel types, these are a pack of 5 from the £1 shop! When I lose them its not a problem
I thought I would show you this as well to see if anyone else is as odd as me
DOES ANYONE ELSE DO THIS? I have bought over the years a lot of Tim Holtz idea-ology...... then I don't use it, I have a draw full & this is not all of it!!. I never put it on my projects, I don't like taking it out the packets, if I do its just to look at it. I don't know if its because they are to expensive to use, or I don't think my stuff is good enough to warrant expensive embellishments. I am just not sure why I have this affliction!

Hi there, no you are not alone. I have a Really Useful box with trays, full of that stuff- I may have used one or two pieces! And don't get me started on all the fancy paper I am saving ' for something special!'. We're not just crafters, we are serial hoarders, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #25 xxx
I, too, have drawers full of stuff that I purchased but haven't used. Am slowly cleaning some of them out and donating to the local thrift store. A few years ago I finally came out of the closet and started playing with my piles of gorgeous paper! LOL! Happy WOYWW!

Hey - no more an affliction than the rest of us share! We all; have things we look at, stroke, LURVE - and refuse to use 'cos they are too nice (especially 12 by 12 papers in my case - sssshhh!)
Love the colours on the toadstools on that tag.
Take care. God bless.

I understand your feeling about hoarding the TM stuff and not using it ... but I think you should start doing so and enjoy the results you'll achieve with it. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are having a great day and have a lovely crafting week to come. Hazel, WOYWW #69 x
I LOVE to see that you use cheap crafting knives as well - I do the same and it works just as well (if not better... because of its cheapness I don't feel afraid to break or lose one...) I do have a box/stack with 'special paper' sheets (mostly handmade papers with flowers and 'things' that are 'woven' into it) that I am afraid to use but cannot resist buying... I guess we all have our own peculiarities - thanks for stopping by my blog and happy woyww, hug from Holland, Marit #47
I am like that buying stuff and then never using it..its time to use up all our stuff I think
Just like me, one extreme to another - great bargains from a £ shop and, at the other end, stuff too lovely to use! Hey-ho, the joys of being a crafter, eh?! Have a fun week, Chris # 14
I think I'm worse still, I have one of those professional Make-up cases that i keep my Tim Holtz metal stuff in and it's full to the top but I have this thing about using them in case I can't replace them when they are used up, it's rediculous Lol!
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x 36
Hi Jill, thanks for visiting me and commenting on my Ship Ahoy!
I do recognise the hoarding syndrome!I do it with paper. I seem to think it hurts the paper to cut into it and I never dare! It's too pretty, or too special or too expensive etc....
What a bummer about your car! I bet you were super annoyed! But you made this amazing tag! It's beautiful! (I bake cakes when I get angry and annoyed)
I hope it all works out with the car. CU soon,
Lisca
Happy belated WOYWW! Yep I have a TH drawer and haven't used it, well the odd thing but not most of it, but then that is what happens to a lot of my collection of stash, hence the mess I am in.
I am busy selling it on facebook groups, and even giving it away on my blog!
See, you are not alone! I also have a box of TH stuff, rarely used, just admired! Really, we should make a point of deliberately using it. It has to look better on a project than in a packet in a box :)
Love your Autumn tag!
Tee hee. I not only have TH stuff that I've never used but also so many rubber stamps..... then yesterday I saw the cutest rubber stamp (Halloween) on the sales bin and just HAD to buy it!! Oh my..... what's a girl to do?
Happy belated WOYWW
Peace, Kay (31)
Hello! Thank you for your kind comment on my blog! Yes I think a lot of us buy things and then just keep them instead of using them. I think recently I have got over that and just said "sod it I must use this stuff" and I do!Give it a go, crack open those packages and start "using" :-)
Have a lovely week!
Hugs, Cardarian
Bummer about the car and how much it will cost. What will you do about your job in the meantime? I don't have any of the TH Idealogy stuff, if it's too expensive to use then it's probably too expensive to buy in the first place, lol! Love the owl and toadstool tag on your desk.
Hugs
