WOYWD 299

This is a weekly desk hop hosted by Julia Dunnit at Stamping-ground.  Basically a catch up around the world to see what others have been creating -  or not - this past week
HERE IS MINE

A lot has been going on this week.
I dont know What you think,  but the price of Rubber Stamps seems to be going up and up.
Around the £20 mark for a A5 sheet is getting a bit more than i want to pay.   I have seen a lot that i want, but They have to be very special or in clearance for me to get my hand in my pocket these days
This has made me pick the pencil up again!
On the left of the desk is a watercolour practice of some toadstools that i have done on a cheap pad from "the works".  If it ends up in the bin i have not wasted my posh Waterford paper!
My 12 Tags of 2015  is pictured as well.

Also my altered matchbox that i am doing for Paperartsy blog challenge Minature Art.  It may or may not get finished..... I dont know what to put in it!

Below is another painting in my cheap book of paper.  This is again hand drawn and comes from my reluctance to pay for rubber stamps.  He is a A4  drawing and will be painted in DYLUSIONS INK SPAYS

yet another background for my Documented Life Project 2015

Last of all my completed page from last weeks DLP challenge.
I have hand drawn some birds onto tissue paper to try and pull the pages together.   Not sure it worked but hey ho
Is it just me that thinks other peoples Journal Pages always look better your own???

Lastly this is a card i made, not done this in a long time.  Its a |Julie Nutting Doll stamp who has had a face added.  I am really pleased with this.  At last i like something!

Off now to have a browse at your works and life.  Have a fulfilling week with your supplies. xx

Your Journal pages look amazing and I love people that can put in freestyle drawings and created their own masterpieces. I don't like it when people produce stuff that artists thrive on duplicating, you then get so many journals with the same sort of stuff, so stick with your style and remain individual it is a good thing. As for the price of rubber, well most stamps and art supplies have really soared in price. Thanks for sharing your desk it has been great to visit.

Wow, you've been super busy! I like your take on the February tag. I haven't made mine yet. By the time I finished making Valentines I was sort of over the holiday, but maybe I can use the same techniques and take it in a different direction . . . we'll see. I agree about the cost of stamps. I have to either find it on sale or really love it. But that's not a terrible thing. It makes us use what we have! Happy WOYWW from Laura #65

Love your journal pages. Yes I agree about the price of stamps especially the red rubber ones but if you can wait a while they sometimes go down in price when the company bring out a new set. Have a great woyww, Angela x 60

My goodness, Jill. After reading all that I think I need to go lie down. You have achieved so much this past week - well done. Your work is lovely. It's good to go back to a first love sometimes, isn't it? Enjoy your painting and drawing. And, yes, I think each one of us thinks everyone else's work is better than our own when we see them together. Not better, though, simply different, and an expression of each one's own creativity.
Take care. God bless.

Well, Jill, I love all your pieces. I agree about the price of kit - I'm big into recycling and am always on the lookout for 'potential'. Have a great crafty week, Chris # 21
